CUSTOMER SECURITY INFO

Fraud Prevention

First Tri-County Bank has a number of security measures in place to protect your financial information, and will continue to employ up-to-date procedures to keep you safe.

Besides offering our own online security measures, we encourage customers to take steps to protect themselves. Together we can protect your sensitive financial information so you can bank with complete confidence.

The following links offer a variety of tips to complement our online security plan:

Introducing TRANSFUND SecurLock Fraud Service

A program called SecurLock has been activated for all of our Visa debit cardholders. This program is designed to monitor unusual activity on your Visa debit card in an effort to protect you against things such as fraud, identity theft and scams.

With SecurLock:

  • Trained analysts watch for suspicious transaction activity on your behalf, 24x7, 365 days a year.
  • You will be contacted by text or email with in the first few minutes a suspicious transaction is blocked to verify the authenticity of your card transactions if warranted.

If fraud is detected, you will be directed the Dispute Resolution Center.  If they are not able to reach you, they may deactivate the card, depending on the type of activity that has occurred.

Please remember…

  • It is important that First Tri-County Bank have your current phone numbers (home phone, cell phone) so you can be reached by SecurLock Fraud Services in the event that suspicious or out-of-the-ordinary card activity is recognized on your account.
  • If you will be traveling internationally or outside of your normal geographic area, contact us first and we will make sure your card is working for you while you travel.
  • SecurLock Fraud Services will NEVER ask for the following information:
    • Your FULL card number
    • The expiration date on your card
    • Your card’s PIN
    • The CVC code on the back of your card
    • Your FULL social security number
